South Jersey Beach Skiff for sale

This boat, offered for sale, is built to the lines of the South Jersey Beach Skiff of the late 1800s and early 1900s.  These boats were used actively for fishing off the Jersey shore, mostly by oar and sail, and were launched through the surf.

The boat is 16’ long and of glued-lapstrake construction. She is light and strong. Build quality is excellent. The rig is sprit. She has a centerboard. She was built several years ago in CT and is currently in Norwalk, CT.

Sails were made by the late Stuart Hopkins, Dabler Sails. Please see his background and reputation online. Mast is of spruce; birdsmouth joint construction. The topsides and bottom have been painted this summer. Brightwork has been varnished this summer.

The boat is offered for sale with a new, quality trailer. You have to see her in person to seriously consider this boat. Price for boat and trailer: $6,400.
