This boat was designed by George Holmes in 1888 & built by William J. Clements in 1988. This is one of 4 built. Length is 13′, beam is 4’6″, draft is 6″ board up & 20″ board down. Main sail is 80 sq. ft. Mizzen is 20 sq. ft. Rigged weight is 340 lbs. Comes with a folding cane seat, bronze folding centerboard (folds in fan shape), Shaw & Tenney oars with leathers & ring-type oarlocks. Bronze oarlocks, pintail, gudgeons & fastenings. The tiller, boomkin, yokes & cleats are made from Black Locust. Floor timbers are 12mm mahogany plywood. Floor boards are 5/8″ white pine. Stems, cockpit coaming, king planks are Cherry. Deck framing is Ash & Spruce. Rub Rails & rudder are Mahogany. Decking is teak. Spars are Sitka Spruce. Lapstrake Hull is 6mm Bruynzeel Marine Plywood. Bulkheads are Sapele Marine Plywood.
