Port of Toledo Wooden Boat Show

The Port of Toledo Wooden Boat Show is one of the Coots’ favorite events. The organizers treat us real good, and there are lots of interesting boats and nice people there. Although not a Coot sponsored event, the Toledo Boat Show is a major Coot gathering, and the Oregon Coots Chapter of the Traditional Small Craft Association (TSCA ) holds its annual meeting around the campfire Saturday evening.

Events during the show will include family boatbuilding, boat rides, a poker paddle and, especially, the cardboard boat races. The Boathouses will be loaning out rowboats and canoes. More information can be found on the Official Port of Toledo Wooden Boat Show Web page.

A special treat this year will be a fleet of steamboats from the The Northwest Steam Society, which will be holding its Annual Meet at the Boat Show. It was a lot of fun the first time the NWSS held its Annual Meet during the Show.
