It is not too early to start making reservations if you have not already done so. \nThe Cedar Key Small Boat Meet is the premiere event on the West Coast of Florida celebrating small craft. Cedar Key is the location for an informal gathering of small craft of any type\, everyone is welcome. There are no fees\, no registration and no planned events. \nAll shallow draft craft are welcome: dories & dinghies\, catboats\, beach cats & trimarans\, sharpies & sampans\, cuddy day-sailors\, any or all driven by pedals\, engines or motors\, paddles\, and sails.\nThe Cedar Keys & the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge are as enchanting as ever. Come enjoy the Nature Coast\, meet old friends\, and make new ones. \nFor those that once a year isn’t enough\, come November 6-8\, 2026\, and enjoy fall in the Cedar Keys. DESCRIPTION:The launch date is subject to wind and weather. We’re keeping the entire weekend open. \nBoats on trailers can launch from the Shorter’s Wharf boat ramp. Paddlers may choose to launch from one of the other soft landings in Blackwater NWR. We’ll make our way toward the Blackwater “ponds”. TBD where we go after that. Join the discussion. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 6 Eaton Rapids Wooden Boat Show. \n\nThis year’s show will be at the Howe Memorial Field in Eaton Rapids\, Michigan. There’ll be lots of activity\, as the city will also host its farmers market\, art in the park\, a youth fishing contest\, and live music that day. Last June\, there were canoes\, kayaks\, rowboats\, sailboats\, an Irish coracle\, motorboats\, and a few boats that kind of defy description. The event is free.
